Eugene's Evaluation on Usability Testing

Reflection:
After completing the e-Courseware and finding people to do the survey. I realized that there are some thing that i have to change. Indeed, it is an iterative process which requires the instructional designer to keep changing the things until it is perfect which needs to meet the students needs and likes. But however due to the time constraint and the project requirement,  we don't need to do the process twice. But i did make a few adjustments like putting in some keywords that say "drag" to the right for the game.

After surveying 6 people. Different people prefer different things. some might prefer to have lots of navigation buttons so that they can control on what they are able to click or prefer less text or more information or even more things to interest them. 1 of my survey participants find the e-courseware very stressful as it is like forcing her to do and lose interest after a while but this is what the minority thinks. while majority will prefer learning on the e-courseware as they can take their own time and pace.

Survey Results out of 6 participants
1) Was the information presented clearly and understandable? Is it sufficient?
Score: 6/6 for Yes

2)Were the images/games and drawings useful?
Score: 6/6 for Yes

3) Was the information interesting and, most importantly, motivating?
Score: 5/6 for Yes
The reason for saying No is: Feel like I was forced to memorize, lost interest in trying after awhile.

4)Do you benefit anything after going through the e-learning courseware? If yes? In what way? If no? why?
Multiple Reasons for giving an answer Yes is:
Give us freedom on what we want to click
Sentence is short and sweet

5)Do you think that there is need for any improvement?
Ans: Put more Information
A Demo to play the game
More Pictures

6)What do you find the most important thing that attracted you in learning  the e-courseware?
Ans: Games
Pictures, games is least important
Tutorials, games is least important

Process:
1) Seek friends for opinions - Throughout doing the project, i have asked some of my friends to give me some opinions about the design via Whatsapp or even face to face. Is it aesthetically pleasant for them? Is it nice to put the buttons here and are you able to know which are the buttons? How about the game do you know how to play it? All this non formal survey questions allow me to make more improvements while doing.

2) Seek teacher for opinions - not only asking for friends for opinions, but i have also asked ms jean for a few opinions like about the design, about the contents. The difficult process is when the design for the slides is not as nice for the first time where i only have buttons shaped as a brain and the slides on a white rectangle, then i decided to change it to a human silhouette with a brain for the slides and buttons but then the focus is on the buttons not the slides so I've decide to seek for opinion then change into the final one which is a human silhouette with brains and slides in a white opacity rectangle background of 70% and the brain shaped buttons. It is a tough process shaping the buttons and the brains over and over again but it is still worth it as i really hope that my project could get a better grade.

3) Improving my work - I spend half a day trying to make the sound stop at other / external swf and it's only a few lines of codes. I tried different method like stopAllSound(), stop(), removeChild(), removing the loader, and finally SoundMixer.
